Gunmen targeted buses and shot dead 23 passengers in Pakistan’ Balochistan province on Monday.
There have been several major attacks in different parts of Pakistan in the last 24 hours. More than 70 people are reported to have been killed in these attacks. In Musakhel, Balochistan, people were taken off buses and trucks and asked for their identity and then they were fired. So far 23 people have been killed in this attack.
According to information, the attackers blocked the national highway in Rarasham area and started searching vehicles. The attackers also set fire to about 10 vehicles before fleeing. The sources say that the militant group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility of the killings in a statement emailed to journalists.

The deceased have been identified as residents of Punjab province. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. According to reports, the gunmen also set fire to 10 vehicles. Police reached the spot and the process of taking the bodies to the hospital was started. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has strongly condemned this incident of terrorism.
BLA spokesperson Zayed Baloch has issued a statement saying that the BLA’s Majeed Brigade launched a major attack on the entry gate of the Bela military camp and nearby security checkpoints with two vehicles loaded with explosives. The BLA has claimed that 62 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in this ‘Operation Heroof’ which began on Sunday evening.
