4 workers were critically injured in an accident at the Synergene Active Ingredients unit in Atchutapuram Pharma SEZ, Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh, in the wee hours today.
Officials said the accident occurred at Synergene Active Ingredients Pvt Ltd, no death, four injured. It was a flash fire. A chemical power and chemical liquid were being mixed, the vapours got ignited by static electricity and there were 4 workers, from Jharkhand, present in room.

M Deepika Patil – Anakapalli Superintendent of Police said a fire broke out around 1 am in a factory at Parawada in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City.
AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu enquired about the incident with the officials and directed officials to provide better treatment to the injured and asked HM Vangalapudi Anitha to pay a visit to the victims.
This is 2nd such tragic incident in the state in less than 48 hours. On Wednesday 17 people were killed and 41 injured after an explosion at a pharma unit in the district’s Achutapuram Special Economic Zone.
