4 Telugus arrested in US for human trafficking

 On Tuesday, Police in Princeton of Texas in the US charged 4 persons of Telugu origin of human trafficking after they rescued 15 women who were forced to work for the shell companies owned by the accused.

This incident came to light on 13th March when a pest control company informed the cop after observing three to five young women sleeping on the floor. Police Officers who were dispatched to a house in Ginsburg Lane for a welfare check reported a “suspicious environment.”

On March 13, Princeton police searched one Santhosh Katkoori’s house in 1000 block of Ginsburg Lane. During the investigation, the police obtained a search warrant for Santhosh Katkoori’s home. Inside the home, police discovered 15 adult women who they said were forced to work for several shell companies owned by Katkoori and his wife, Dwaraka Gunda and their associates Chandan Dasireddy, 24, and Anil Male, 37. They were all arrested in the month of March but they were charged now with trafficking of persons, a second degree felony.
