Pawan Kalyan reacted sharply to actor Karthi’s comments on the Tirupati Laddu controversy. Meanwhile, a viral tweet purportedly by Karthi’s brother, actor Suriya, was doing the rounds in social media circles. However, it was far from the truth.
Issues regarding adulteration in Tirupati Laddu are taking quite a turn-and-round ride as the issue is very sensitive. Any remarks on it become a problem. Karthi reacted to a question on the Laddu at the audio launch of his upcoming film Sathyam Sundaram in Hyderabad, saying, “It’s a sensitive topic and best not to talk about it now.”

However, while responding, the facial expression and body language of Karthi had irked Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan. After that, Karthi apologized to Pawan Kalyan. Just a little later, a series of tweets spread widely on social media, claiming that it was from Suriya’s Twitter handle. There, it was said that Suriya was apologizing on behalf of his brother, on whom he said he would go on a three-day hunger strike on Pawan Kalyan’s behalf.
The tweet quickly went viral and also reached millions, but was eventually said to be attributed to a third party from Suriya’s official account.
