Amidst this, actress Radhika Sarathkumar made sensational comments about actor Vishal’s remarks on the Hema Committee report. Vishal had recently said that actresses in the Malayalam industry who fail to adjust should be hit with sandals. Reacting to this, Radhika asked Vishal, “Is it apt to say that influential people should be hit with sandals? Don’t you think about what would happen to the woman afterwards?” Further lashing out at Vishal, she says he has failed to address the issue as the leader of the actors’ association and his comments are out of place.
She said, Vishal, being in that position, should fight for appropriate measures to be taken against those who ill-treat actresses rather than make these comments. She called on all actors and producers to come together and support each other to iron out all these issues amicably.
