Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, is reportedly facing a terror threat, according to information received from central intelligence agencies. As a result, Maharashtra police have heightened security across the city. Security forces are conducting intensive searches in places of worship and other crowded areas. Police officials have also mentioned that mock drills are being carried out as part of precautionary measures.
Deployment of Police Forces:
Senior officials have directed DCPs (Deputy Commissioners of Police) from various areas to pay special attention to security arrangements in their respective zones. Any suspicious activities must be immediately reported as a precautionary measure. Large numbers of police personnel have been deployed at key locations throughout Mumbai.

Police conducted a mock drill in the Crawford Market area, which is home to two famous religious sites. With major festivals like Durga Puja and Diwali approaching, authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant amid these terror threats. Additionally, the Maharashtra State Assembly, consisting of 288 members, is expected to hold elections in November, adding further concern to the situation. The warnings of a terror threat have raised significant alarm in the city.
