The TATA IPL 2023 player auction is scheduled to take place on December 23 this year. The auction will begin at 2.30 pm local time and all the cricket fanatics can watch it live on the Jio Cinema app in India. While on small screens, the auction event will be available on Star Sports channel.
273 players of the 405 are Indians while there are 132 overseas players up for the auction. 4 of the overseas players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 119 while uncapped players are 282. Rs 2 crore is the highest reserve price with 19 overseas players. A list of all the teams and the amount of money they have for the auction, was also released by the Indian Premiere League.

DC – Rs 19.45 crore
GT – Rs 19.25 crore
KKR – Rs 7.05 crore
LSG – Rs 23.35 crore
MI – Rs 20.55 crore
PK – Rs 32.20 crore
RR – Rs 13.2 crore
RCB – Rs 8.75 crore
SRH – Rs 42.25 crore
IPL Auction 2023 Rules :
*No franchise will be allowed to spend more money on a player than they have available.
*At least 75% of each team’s whole budget must be spent. Franchises won’t have access to the Right to Match card option.
*Each squad should have a minimum of 18 players, and no side shall have more than 25 players.
*There can be a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 25 Indian players per franchise.
*There is no upper limit on the number of international players each team can have on their roster- the maximum being 8 players.
