The notification for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test came out on Monday, July 1. There will be a total of two papers for the TET examination. Paper 1A for SGT teachers, and Paper 1B for Special Education SGT teachers. Similarly, Paper 2A shall be for School Assistants, and Paper 2B will be conducted for Special Education School Assistants. There will be a special English Language Skill Test for Trained Graduate and Post Graduate teachers. Candidates holding qualifications in D.Ed or B.Ed are eligible to appear in the TET exam.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH categories appearing for Paper 2A must possess a minimum of 40% marks in graduation; the other candidates should possess at least 50% marks. The notification details the syllabus and pattern of the examination.

Interested candidates may apply online from July 4 to 17. A registration fee of Rs. 750 per subject will be charged. The application fee for TET may be remitted online from July 3 to 16. Online mock tests will be available from July 16. Hall tickets may be downloaded from July 25. The TET examinations will be held online from August 5 to 20, in two sessions a day. The preliminary answer key is to be released on August 10, with objections from August 11 to 21. The final key will be released on August 25 and results of the TET have been scheduled to be announced on August 30.

Marks of the TET examination in the DSC carry 20% weightage. In TET, a candidate of the OC category shall get 60% of marks, BC- 50%, and SC/ST/PH/Ex-servicemen- 40% to be qualified. Since it is a computer-based exam, normalization will follow in allotting marks concerning TET examinations.
