In a tragic incident, Buchibabu, 40, a software engineer working in California, USA, hailing from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, died in a beach drowning on Sunday. Buchibabu was working as a software engineer in California for the past ten years. According to the police, he went to the beach along with his family for a weekend outing and drowned.
The untimely death of Buchibabu Shankaraiah has literally pushed his entire family into sadness. Parents of Buchibabu, who live in Mundlamuru village, really have been trying hard to come out of the loss of their son. Efforts are being made by the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society to retrieve the body of Buchibabu to his native village. Now, the family has approached the government to intervene and speed up the process for bringing his remains back home.
The local authorities told the media that the police have not contacted them regarding the issue.

Heart breaking: Harassment Leads Student to End Life
In yet another distressing episode in Mahabubabad district of Telangana, a 17-year-old polytechnic student ended her life due to continuous harassment by one youth in the name of love. This girl was a first-year student at a polytechnic in Kodada, and she had big dreams in her eyes to finish her education and live a bright future. However, all of that big hope was washed away by constant harassment from a young man from Khammam town.
Unable to bear the torment anymore, the student consumed poison last Thursday in a bid to end her life. In this regard, her family had rushed her to the private hospital in Mahabubabad, where she was battling for her life. Although her health was deteriorating, she managed to tie ‘rakhi’ to her younger brother and cousin on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Saturday. Sniffing the poison, she could get the smell of it and decided to kill herself crying the whole night. She died the next day early hours of Sunday after succumbing to the poison, thereby leaving the family engulfed in grief and tears.

The Narsimhulapet police have already booked a case against the youth under the POCSO Act in addition to the SC/ST atrocity laws, for his role that drove the minor girl to suicide.
Such tragedies always reflect severe devastations of sudden loss and harassment; the families are left deep in sorrow, hence calling for more support mechanisms and legal interventions to avoid similar acts in the future.
