The Indian Coast Guard helicopter is said to have crashed into the Arabian Sea. According to authorities, one person is reported safe while three others are reported missing. Let’s take an in-depth look at what happened prior to the helicopter crash.

The chopper went down about 45 km off the Porbandar coast in Gujarat. Injuries to the crew on board a motor tanker in the Arabian Sea led to sending an emergency message to the Coast Guard office. Equipped with advanced technology, the helicopter was dispatched from the Coast Guard office to transport the injured person in awful weather conditions.

Shortly after taking off, the helicopter developed some slight problem around 11 PM on Monday night. “The pilot managed to choose an emergency landing on water, but the chopper crashed,” the statement said. There were four personnel on board when the accident occurred.

Loss of signal, the Coast Guard immediately undertook the search operation. They reached the site of the crash, recovered the debris, and managed to save one of them. The search for the other three crew members is continuing, while naval vessels are out to assist in the search.

The helicopter had recently rescued about 70 people during the Gujarat floods. The reason for the fall is not yet known.
