IIFA award ceremony which took place yesterday, was a visual treat. Nandamuri Balakrishna received “Golden Legacy Award” at the IIFA Utsavam 2024 event. The award was presented by Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar.
On this occasion, Balakrishna said: “I am very happy to receive Golden Legacy Award and to be part of this wonderful celebration.”
Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth starrer Jailer won the Best Film Award, which was accepted by Nelson Dilipkumar. Nani (Telugu) and Chiyaan Vikram (Tamil) bagged Best Actor trophies for their portrayal in Dasara and Ponniyin Selvan II.

Megastar of Tollywood- Chiranjeevi bagged the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema Award, which Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar presented.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Chiranjeevi, Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, attended the event, alongside Bollywood celebrities Shahid Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Kriti Sanon, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Mani Ratnam won the Best Director Award (Tamil) for his directorial venture Ponniyin Selvan: II, whereas Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bagged Best Actress for her role of Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan: II.
