Air India Flight 657 was landed at Thiruvananthapuram airport after receiving a bomb threat on Thursday. Officials at Thiruvananthapuram Airport said that a full emergency has been declared. The flight has been placed in an isolation bay.

According to a statement from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, “AI 657 (BOM-TRV) reported a bomb threat on 22 August 2024 at 07:30 AM. A full emergency was declared at the TRV airport at 07:36 am. The plane landed safely. It has now been parked in an isolation bay, where the evacuation process has begun. There is no impact on people’s lives. Operations at the airport are currently uninterrupted,” further investigation into the matter is underway. More information is awaited.
According to sources, the Air India flight landed at the airport around 8 am. It was then taken to an isolation bay. The passengers were safely evacuated from the plane at 8.44 am.
