Challenges are going on between MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy and Arikapudi Gandhi. Arikapudi Gandhi, who was elected as the MLA from Serilingampally, was recently elected as the PAC Chairman, and the controversy flared up.
The tussle with the post of PAC Chairman in Telangana Assembly continues. BRS is fuming over Congress’ strategic moves to get the post of PAC Chairman to Arikapudi Gandhi. Padi Kaushik Reddy alleged that Arikapudi Gandhi betrayed the party.
Police were alerted when Padi Kaushik Reddy announced that he would hoist the BRS flag in front of Gandhi’s house in Arikapudi. Arrangements were made at Gandhi’s house.

On the other hand, Gandhi announced that BRS MLA is accepting the challenge. He said that if Kaushik Reddy did not come to his house by 11 o’clock, he would go to Kaushik Reddy’s house.
Gandhi expressed anger at Padi Kaushik Reddy’s challenge to hoist the flag in front of his house.
Padi Kaushik Reddy, who tried to go to Gandhi’s house, was arrested by the police.
On Thursday BRS MLA P Kaushik Reddy was placed under house arrest by Hyderabad Police to prevent him from leaving for the house of defected MLA Arekapudi Gandhi to offer him BRS scarf.
Arekapudi Gandhi was elected Serilingampally on TDP ticket in 2014 but later joined TRS (now BRS).
