Heavy rains triggered a landslide in Vijayawada, that caused a house collapse that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries, with significant flooding disrupting normal life and prompting evacuation orders. The incident occurred following heavy rains from Friday evening, which triggered a minor landslide and caused a boulder to roll onto victim’s house.
Deceased has been identified as Navudu Meghana. 6 injured individuals, from 2 different families, were rescued and they were rushed to a nearby government hospital.

A girl died in a landslide incident in Vijayawada. Andhra Pardesh Chief Minister Chandrababu responded to this incident of landslide and said : AP Government will stand by the girl’s family. The authorities have been directed to take measures to ensure that those injured in the accident get better treatment.
