CM Chandrababu's Plea to Minister Nirmala Sitharaman


Today, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi. In the black-and-white meeting, Chandrababu asked her to extend her support to the state. He detailed that due to decisions and steps taken by the previous government, the state is in the debt trap and in the current scenario, going through a financial crunch.

He requested the central government for adequate support in the development of Andhra Pradesh. The meeting with Nirmala Sitharaman included Pemmashani Chandrasekhar and NDA MPs. Later, Chandrababu met with Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and JP Nadda. He will meet many other Union Ministers later in the evening to explain the state’s situation. He will also hold discussions with the Japanese Ambassador to India. Then Chandrababu will be heading to Hyderabad for a grand meeting. Tomorrow, he has a review meeting with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.

Yesterday, Chandrababu had crucial discussions with PM Modi and various Union Ministers, who represent different ministries. He asked the latter for their cooperation in the development of the state with more focus on extending this support mainly for the capital city, Amaravati, in supporting its construction works. As it is the fourth week this month that schedules the central budget meetings, they also discussed at length the priorities of the state Andhra Pradesh in the budget.
