In a display of continued commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged women in the state, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has announced a new scheme, ‘Sowbhagya Lakshmi.’ This initiative comes from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi government, which is already known for implementing various welfare schemes, including ‘Kalyana Lakshmi,’ ‘Shadi Mubarak,’ ‘Arogya Lakshmi,’ ‘Amma Odi,’ ‘KCR Nutrition Kit,’ and ‘KCR Kint.’
Under the ‘Sowbhagya Lakshmi’ scheme, KCR revealed that eligible poor women in the state would receive a living stipend of Rs. 3,000. This stipend will be applicable to those who hold a Below Poverty Line card. The aim of this scheme is to provide crucial financial support to women facing economic hardships, furthering the government’s efforts to uplift the socio-economic status of the underprivileged. This move reaffirms the BRS government’s dedication to addressing the needs of its citizens, particularly women, and enhancing their overall well-being.
With ‘Sowbhagya Lakshmi,’ CM KCR continues to demonstrate his concern for the welfare of the state’s underprivileged women and further bolsters the portfolio of pro-poor initiatives already being undertaken by the BRS government. This latest scheme adds to a series of efforts aimed at improving the lives of women in the state and reflects the government’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable society.
