Comedian Raju Sri Vastsava is no more!

Renowned comedian Raju Sri Vatsava passed away this morning at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. He suffered from a severe heart attack in August and he admitted to a hospital immediately. He had been received treatment at the hospital till today, but unfortunately, he breathed his last today at around 10 am. 

Sri Vatsava was born on December 25, 1963. He is known professionally as Raju Sri Vatsava and often credited as Gajodhar. He participated in a stand-up comedy with the talent show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and emerged as the second runner up, subsequently taking part in the spin-off, the Great Indian Laughter Challenge – Champions, in which he won the title of ‘The King of Comedy.”

Sri Vatsava had also contested in 2014 Lok Sabha election from Samajwadi party. But later, he stepped down from the party from some reason and joined Bharatiya Janata Party on March 19, 2014. He was nominated by prime minister Narendra Modi for Swachch Bharat Abhiyan. On the movie front, he was last seen in Firangi, a Bollywood movie, which was released in 2017.

In the same year, he had also appeared in the comedy show The Kapil Sharma. Since Sri Vatsava had connectivity with multiple sectors in the society, various dignitaries are offering condolences fo his bereaved family on his death.
