Addressing a press conference, P Kaushik Reddy gestured to the saree and bangles, and named the defecting MLAs, by saying -You are not men, so wear these and go around. His comment did not go down well with Congress, and they lashed out at the BRS leader.
P Kaushik Reddy targeted MLAs including Kadiyam Srihari, Danam Nagender, and others who had recently defected.
Kaushik Reddy said, “MLAs like Danam Nagender, Kadiyam Srihari, and all others who left the party should move around wearing saris and bangles.

If you are brave enough, should do politics like man. If you don’t resign before the Speaker’ decision, we will definitely send saree and bangles to your house through the courier.”
After this public outrage and political tensions escalated, prompting a heavy police presence in front of Reddy’s house in Hyderabad to maintain order.
The state Congress vice-president Bandru Shobha Rani addressed the media and accused P Kaushik Reddy of insulting women. Congress leader showed a pair of footwear and said, ” Kaushik Reddy showed saree and bangles, and I will show you footwear. We will beat Kaushik Reddy with footwear if he insults women.”
