We are talking about the issues with actor Suriya’s sensational hit Jai Bheem. It is known that the Vanniyar community has pointed out several elements in the film. Mainly, the news has come to light that the makers of the film have displayed the community in indigent light.
Recently, the Chennai court has passed orders to the police to file an FIR against the movie team, Suriya, Jyothika, and its director Gnanavel on this issue. Soon after the court’s order, the Vanniyar group filed a petition against them. And the court has forwarded the complaint to the Inspector of police in Velachery to submit an FIR as per law and make inquiries about the case.
The Vanniyar community has been raising its restrictions over the way the community was represented in the film. As the film is about real-life incidents, the identities of the antagonists were changed reportedly. While some other communities behaved like ill-mannered persons towards a few people, the film reportedly represented the Vanniyar community in a restrictive manner.
Besides gaining laudation and awards, the film now has landed in a few controversies, and the team has been facing a big blow. The film features Suriya as Justice K. Chandru. It was helmed by T.J.Gnanavel, bankrolled by Suriya and his wife Jyotjika under their 2D Entertainment banner.
