Cut off marks decreased for police job aspirants

Telangana Govt has decreased cut off marks for police job aspirants. In the initial notification issued by Govt, cut off marks were set as 40 percent of OC candidates, 35 percent for BC candidates and 30 percent for SC/STs. But job aspirants demanded to decrease the cut off marks. Taking on consideration job aspirants demand, Govt decreased cut off marks. The new cut off marks for OCs is 30 percent, BCs is 25 percent and SC/ST candidates is 20 percent.

It may be known that Telangana Govt has issued notification to fill up 554 Sub Inspector (SI) posts and 15,664 police constable posts. The examination paper consists of total 200 marks. According to the new cut off marks, OC candidates have to get 60 marks, BC candidates have to get 50 marks and SC/STs should score 40 marks to qualify. Once candidates pass the written examination test, they will have to appear for physical fitness test.
