Delhi Court issues production warrant for Arvind Kejriwal


A Delhi court has taken a crucial step in ongoing investigation involving Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal  and issued the production warrant for CM in money laundering case registered by ED while taking cognizance of seventh supplementary chargesheet filed in connection with the excise policy.

Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, upon reviewing the chargesheets, found sufficient grounds to proceed against accused individuals. The court has scheduled the next hearing for 12th July where all accused persons are expected to appear. ED had filed a comprehensive 200 page chargesheet on 17th May, naming Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party as accused.

Kaveri Baweja, has issued a production warrant for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party, requiring their presence in the court on 12th July 2024.

55 years old AAP convenor was arrested by federal agency on 21st March, hours after Delhi high court denied his request for the interim protection from arrest.

According to the ED, Arvind Kejriwal played a central role in policy formulation, alleged kickback schemes, and the utilization of proceeds of crime. The agency has presented substantial evidence linking Arvind Kejriwal to serious economic offences.
