On the occasion of Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan’s birthday, the actor shared the news of his collaboration with Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati for a new film which is titled Kaantha. The upcoming multilingual drama will star Dulquer Salmaan in the lead and it will be produced by the actor along with Rana. The makers revealed – A story that resonates with contemporary emotions set in 1950s Madras.
Kaantha is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, whose debut feature Nila won the audience award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival. Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati’ film Kaantha, has officially started with a pooja ceremony that took place at Ramanaidu Studios. The shoot of Kaantha has commenced.

Mr Bachchan fame Bhagyashri Borse is on the board to play the leading lady. Dulquer Salman’s Wayfarer Films in association with Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media will produce this upcoming project.
The photographs from the pooja event showcase Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati, and Borse dressed in traditional Indian outfits.
On the otherside, Dulquer Salmaan is waiting for the release of his upcoming film Lucky Baskhar, which is slated to hit the theaters during Diwali.
