Written and directed by Om Raut, Adipurush which has Rebel star Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in the lead role, is a mythological take based on Valmiki’s Ramayana. Adipurush was made on a huge budget of Rs 500 crore and it earned the tag of the most expensive Indian film. It is jointly produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles.
It is known on its release day Adipurush received the negative response by the movie lovers and the critics and it was turned out a flop. Recently during an interview, Om Raut talked about the failure of Adipurush.

Om Raut said: Adipurush may have failed to match the perception of the audience but at the box office it did very well.
Om Raut also added: We don’t need to bother too much about the faceless army/trollers for Prabhas on social media. At the end of the day, what matters for a movie is box office and Adipurush did very well at the box office. The movie collected Rs 70 Cr+ day one in India, over Rs 400 Cr+ in full run and Rs 200 Cr+ just from AP and Telangana.
