First action on wrestlers protest

Taking a first step in addressing wrestlers protest Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has decided to take the complete control of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). IOA has ordered WFI committee to handover all documents, financial information and others relevant data to it.

Olypmic medal winning wrestlers like Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and others have been protesting for more than three weeks now. Wrestlers have been complaining against Wrestling Federation of India’s president and BJP MP Brijbujan Singh for sexually abusing women athletes.

The shocking revelation by wrestlers shook the entire nation and highlighted the sorry state of affairs in Indian sports. Opposition parties, activists, celebrities and others have expressed solidarity with protesting wrestlers and found fault with Modi Sarkar for not taking any action.
