Gaganyaan Mission:

Gaganyaan Mission

0:00

New India dreams of excelling in all fields. In space research itself, ISRO is said to have achieved many a feat, racing along with superpower nations like the USA and China. Now, it is prepared for a manned mission, the Gaganyaan Mission. This venture shall be so prestigious; it will be the first-ever manned space expedition from India. On the success of this mission, India, already racing along with the USA and China as far as space researchers are concerned, will reach new heights.

Gaganyaan Mission: India will launch its first human-crew-carrying space mission by the end of 2025. The proposed mission is to place four astronauts up to an altitude of 400 km and keep them in space for three days before returning them safely to the Indian Ocean.

Astronauts to be sent into space by the end of next year: END

The Gaganyaan mission is of prime importance, as it will be the first time that ISRO will send humans into space. There are ongoing preparations for this. Already, four persons have completed training in Russia for this mission. In continuation, there are tests on the crew modules. Some crucial details about Gaganyaan were shared by ISRO Chief Somnath. He announced that the launch would take place at the end of next year.

The ISRO Chief, Somnath, was asked an interesting question by a news channel if PM Modi would be sent into space on an indigenous spacecraft. He gave an interesting answer to this and said that once the Gaganyaan Mission is functional, even the Prime Minister could visit space. Noting that the capability to send its leader into space will be a matter of great pride for one and all, he added.

It’s not easy to send people:

It is not easy to send important persons via Gaganyaan. The mission requires much technical expertise and participation. It requires months or even years of training. Leaders like Modi have many crucial responsibilities, and the astronauts who go to the International Space Station require training for months. Under these circumstances, the comment of the ISRO Chairman is a futuristic statement of space research, not a plan to send Modi to space.

Gaganyaan Mission Critical Phase:

The Gaganyaan Mission is at a very critical juncture, and it’s gearing up for three different tests. Firstly, astronauts will be sent into space for one day; they will spend only a very short time in orbit and return home. The second shall be special equipment and algorithm tests. The third test will be on the launch pad. Overall, ISRO is preparing for the first launch by the end of next year.

As part of the Gaganyaan Mission, four astronauts will be launched into space and returned to Earth after three days. The introduction of these four astronauts has already been introduced to the global masses by Prime Minister Modi. On board, the astronauts are Group Captains Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan, and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla, all belonging to the Indian Air Force. Gaganyaan shall be another track record added to India’s space research, different in subject matter, but a landmark for the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives.
