On account of his 60th birthday, Asia’s richest person Gautham Adani, along with his family has promised to donate Rs 60,000 crore (47.7 billion) to a slew of social causes.Adani Foundation will manage the donation for bolstering health care, education and skill development.
Claiming that this decision also honors the birth centenary year of his father Shantilal Aadni, Gautham Adani said, “This is one of the largest transfers made to a foundation in Indian corporate history.” His promise is approximately half of what Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates donated to their foundation last year.

Gautham Adani tweeted, “On our father’s 110th birth anniversary and my 60th birthday, Adani family is thankful to decide Rs 60,000 crore in charity towards healthcare, education & skill development across India. Contribution to help build an equitable, future-ready India.”
