In a gruesome bus accident more than 10 people were killed on Saturday in Nasik. The shocking bus accident occurred early on Saturday morning, when a bus rammed into a truck. As it was between 5 AM and 5 30 AM, and passengers were asleep, they could not make efforts to escape from the fire. According to the last recieved reports (3 PM, Saturday), about 11 people were dead and 38 were injured.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock and announced Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia for the family of deceased and Rs 50k for injured. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed severe shock over the unfortunate incident. He has announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the families of victims who lost lives. He ordered officials to ensure proper health care facilities for the injured and save them. Maharashtra former CM Uddhav Thackeray expressed grief and urged Govt to save the injured by offering the best treatment.
Some among injured are also said to be in critical condition. As soon as the bus hit truck it caught flames leaving no time for the passengers to escape. Police are investigating the bus fire accident to ascertain the reason behind fire accident.
