The Indian hockey team defeated China 1-0 in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024. At the beginning of this match, no one from both the teams was able to score a goal. But a few minutes before the end of the match, Jugraj Singh scored a goal for India. Due to this goal, the Indian hockey team was successful in winning the title. India won the Asian Champions Trophy title for the fifth time in total. China made it to the final for the first time and lost for the first time.

Indian hockey team has performed brilliantly in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 and has not lost a single match till the final. The team defeated South Korea 4-1 in the semi-finals. Harman Preet Singh, Uttam Singh and Jarman Preet Singh scored goals against the Korean team.
Earlier, India won the trophy in 2011, 2016, 2018 (joint winner with Pakistan) and 2023. Harman Preet Singh has received the Player of the Tournament award for his strong performance throughout the tournament.
