Upasana is known for her social service and effective manoeuvres that have shown a positive impact on many people. She is a third-generation entrepreneur from the Apollo Hospitals family in India. She is the elder daughter of Shobhana Kamineni and Anil Kamineni.
She works as the Vice Chairperson CSR, Apollo Hospitals and the Editor-in-Chief of B positive magazine. She is the founder of URLife and the Ambassador of Forest Frontline Heroes. She never moves back to help the poor and needy. She is also a philanthropist and known as an eminent businesswoman in India.
She received the Femina Award for Recognition in Healthcare in 2017. Forbes India has lauded her in 2018 and in the next year, she was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award for philanthropist of the year. She is also one among the GC magazine’s Heroes 2021, for leading work on the battle against Covid-19.
As part of the Apollo foundation, Upasana is extending her support to over 150 old age homes in various states like Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamilnadu.
