India was successful in getting Chandrayaan 3 successfully landed exactly one year ago. India became the fourth country to land on the moon and the first country to land near the south polar region of the moon. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced to celebrate 23 August as National Space Day every year.
In a program organized on the occasion of National Space Day on Friday, ISRO chief S Somnath has said many interesting things about the Prime Minister.

ISRO chief S Somnath said, ‘As Prime Minister, PM Modi has not only made new policies in the space sector but has also implemented them. On 23 August 2023, India had soft landed its rover on the southern part of the moon. India became the first country to do so.
On the occasion of National Space Day, the ISRO chief said, “After reforms in the space sector, we are working on a space policy. This new policy clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of the Department of Space, ISRO and New Space India Limited, which will increase the participation of the private sector in space activities. “
