Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the chief minister Jagan about his sister YS Sharmila, who is the president of YSRTP. Local TRS leaders have attacked her convoy, which ruined her car and bus. Modi asked Jagan about this incident and the CM didn’t expect this from the Prime minister and left shell-shocked.
With this, it is clear that PM Modi is keeping his eye on south politics, especially in the Telugu states. Sharmila is performing a lone battle with the TS directorate against the chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his regime. She is not at all compromising in troubling Telangana government and became a harsh critic.
Modi is trying to expand BJP in Telangana and seems to be looking Sharmila as a potential ally. According to sources Modi had also called Sharmila to enquire about the sad incident where she along with her car was pulled off by the police and was arrested. Sharmila was on the way to CM KCR’s official residence and workplace Pragathi Bhavan to report to him about attack of his party leaders on her convoy. The police arrested her and it led to big chaos.
