Senior Telangana Congress leader Kunduru Jana Reddy will not contest Assembly elections. The upcoming Assembly elections are a ‘do-or-die’ battle for the Congress party and every seat is very crucial to come back to power. But surprisingly, senior leader K Jana Reddy has announced that he will not contest Assembly elections. Jana Reddy is a senior leader with statewide popularity and served as Minister for a long time. So, his staying out of the race will have an impact in his constituency Nagarjuna Sagar.
K Jana Reddy said that he will not contest from NagarjunaSagar Assembly constituency but will contest as MP in the 2024 Loksabha elections. He said that his son will contest from Nagarjunasagar constituency.
Jana Reddy’s son Raghuveer Reddy is expected to contest from Congress party in Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly segment. He is actively campaigning and staying close with TPCC chief Revanth Reddy. He has been participating in all TPCC meetings and events. Thus, it is almost confirmed that Raghuveer will step into his father’s shoes in Assembly polls this time.
