Tollywood star and Nandamuri scion Jr NTR made a valid point, making his opinion clear on the name change issue of NTR Health University. Jr NTR who is the most successful grandson of legendary NTR, said that changing Health University’s name from NTR to YSR will neither decrease NTR’s popularity nor increase YS Rajashekhar Reddy’s popularity. He added that NTR has a permanent place in Telugu people’s hearts and no one one erase him from the hearts and memories of people. He also stressed that both NTR and YSR are popular leaders, who made a difference to people’s lives.
Jr NTR has been seen as the worthy successor of his matinee idol-turned-politician grand father. Besides movies, he also dabbled in politics for a while, and campaigned for TDP in 2009. But since then, due to differences with Nara Chandrababu Naidu, he has been staying away from TDP and also all political issues. Though he met Union Home Minister and BJP heavy weight Amit Shah recently, did not make any statement.
Many even perceive that NTR is more close to YSRCP than to TDP. But, in case of Health University’s name change issue, Jr NTR has opened up and proved that he knows his priorities. Though he took a balanced route, made his point emphatically.
