However, the recent comments of Rishab Shetty with regard to the Bollywood film industry stirred controversy. Recently, in an interview, he said, “Some films, especially Bollywood movies, are portraying India in a lesser light. Our films are being respected internationally.

These comments have not gone down well with Bollywood. Many in the industry have been slating him, saying that Bollywood audiences, too, supported Kantara. They feel that at this point, Rishab should not have spoken ill against Bollywood. The controversy has set tongues wagging and the topic is still trending on social media.
