54th Kerala State Film Award: The much awaited state film awards in Malayalam have been announced. The 54th awards were announced this time. Movie lovers were waiting to know who the best actor and actress would be. Prithviraj Sukumaran was selected as the best actor. Prithviraj’s performance in the movie Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life earned him recognition.
Prithviraj Sukumaran bagged the Best Actor award. Urvashi and Beena R Chandran won Best Actress. The awards were announced on 16th August.

Mammootty starrer ‘Kaathal – The Core’ was honored as Best Picture. Blessy won Best Director for his film ‘Aadujeevitham’. Sudhir Mishra was the chairman of the jury. Director Priyanandanan, cinematographer Alagappan, director Lijo Jose Pellissery and writer NS Madhavan are part of the jury.
Aadujeevitham was a film based on the true story of Benjamin’s novel Aadujeevitham m. Prithviraj played the role of Najeeb Muhammad who was stranded in the desert. Prithviraj went for an almost unrecognizable makeover for the perfection of the character. Prithviraj’s best actor award at the State Film Awards is a reward for his hard work for the film.
