The very names that come to one’s mind when thinking of dictators are Hitler and Mussolini. Today, their epitome is being preached as Kim Jong Un of North Korea. Even the most notorious dictators seem less extreme standing beside him. He has become increasingly intrusive in personal matters of his people, most specifically the females.

Again, he hit international headlines with extreme regulations on the appearance of women. In North Korea, women of all ages were found wearing casual ponytails to work or college with ease, but Kim had introduced rigid regulations banning the same. He cautioned that if any woman is found violating the rule, her hair would be shaved off completely, and she would be sent to prison for six months.

Women Outraged

North Korean women were found outraged after Kim issued his new edict. It’s not the first time Kim has issued such decrees concerning women; he once banned lipstick. This time, however, his strict control of ponytails simply got too obnoxious. A reason for Kim’s hate for ponytails, according to sources, is simply that he despises South Korea. The same can often be seen worn freely by women in South Korea, Kim’s bitter rival nation.

It would appear that Kim is quite adamant North Korean women will never be seen to appear alike. Locals say the rules are because of his personal spite. Among other rules he has set in place, Kim has forbidden tight-fitting or see-through clothing on women, such as skinny jeans and mid-length skirts.

Kim’s Stunner New Move

In yet another controversial move, Kim recently made a shocking decision after a natural calamity. North Korea was ravaged by heavy rainfall and flooding that caused destruction throughout the country. Sadly, some 4,000 people lost their lives. Kim blamed government officials for mishandling the situation and causing such a massive loss of life. He dismissed 30 officials and had them even sentenced to death.

This move infuriated many citizens in North Korea and abroad, as numerous organizations spoke out against Kim. The decision was met with protests against Kim, but he justified his move, saying that it would prevent more negligence in the future and would make officials work harder for the country and the people. But for many, this is just another ruthless move of a tyrant.
