Land for Job Scam: Delhi Court summons Lalu Prasad Yadav

In the Land for Job case, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has issued summons to Lalu Prasad Yadav and his two sons. On Wednesday, the court gave its verdict on taking cognizance of the ED’s supplementary charge sheet. 11 people were made accused in this ED charge sheet, out of which 4 have died.

Rouse Avenue court has summoned Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, and several others for a hearing on 7 October related to a land for job scheme during Lalu Prasad Yadav’ tenure as railway minister from 2004 to 2009.

Delhi court has also said that the involvement of Tej Pratap Yadav cannot be ruled out. He was also the director of AK Infosys Limited. He has also been summoned. Tej Pratap Yadav has been directed to appear in court. ED had filed a supplementary charge sheet against 11 accused on August 6. Four of them have died.

Today, on Wednesday, the court gave its verdict on the matter of taking cognizance of the first supplementary charge sheet filed by the ED. Earlier, the court had reserved its decision on August 17. The ED had filed the first supplementary charge sheet in this case on August 6. 11 people have been made accused in the ED charge sheet.

In this charge sheet, 96 documents have been presented as evidence. In fact, on July 6, the court had given ED time till August 6 to file the charge sheet. At the same time, during the hearing on July 6, the Joint Director of ED had said that this matter is very sensitive. ED will file the charge sheet on time, the investigation is still going on in this case. Then the court had said that there should be a time limit to complete the investigation in the case.
