“Lord Ram’s Idol Takes Center Stage in Ayodhya’s Ram Temple”

The recently placed idol of Lord Ram inside Ayodhya’s Ram Temple has become a focal point of anticipation, with the consecration ceremony scheduled for Monday. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje shared the first glimpse of the 51-inch idol sculpted by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, portraying the deity as a standing five-year-old child in black stone.

Amidst the backdrop of sacred chants, the Ram Lalla idol was reverently positioned in the sanctum sanctorum, marking a significant step in the ongoing consecration rituals that commenced on January 12. Prime Minister Modi is set to perform the crucial “Pran Pratistha” puja on January 22, adhering to a meticulous set of rules and rituals, including sleeping on the floor and consuming only coconut water.

PM Modi has advised against public visits to Ayodhya on January 22, expressing a wish not to disturb Lord Ram, but invites everyone to visit starting January 23. He also encourages every Indian to light a diya in their homes on January 22. The consecration ceremony is poised to attract over 11,000 specially invited guests from across the country and abroad, making it a historic and auspicious event in the Ayodhya Ram Temple’s journey.
