The Congress high command has made a new announcement regarding the Telangana state Congress leadership. Amid anticipation for the appointment of a new president, the Congress has officially named the new leader. Mahesh Kumar Goud has been appointed as the new Telangana PCC Chief. This was confirmed in a recent official announcement by the Congress party. Following the appointment, senior party leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, and state Congress leaders, have extended their congratulations to him.
The discussions about the TPCC Chief position have been ongoing for some time. Mahesh Kumar Goud’s name was finalized, and the announcement was just a matter of time. However, it was noted that the high command considered other candidates as well, including Madhuyashki Goud. Ultimately, Mahesh Kumar Goud was selected, taking into account social considerations and the intention to give a chance to BCs (Backward Classes) this time.
Revanth Reddy’s term as PCC President ended on July 7, and since then, the party high command has been actively working on selecting a new leader. The official announcement was made on Friday. Despite competition from Madhuyashki Goud, Government Whip Adloori Lakshman Kumar, and Mahabubabad MP Ballaram Naik, the high command showed preference for Mahesh Kumar Goud.
