Andhra Pradesh: The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party is accusing the state government of badly managing Anna Canteens. In a clip released by the party, one can see plates been washed with dirty water in the canteen located in Tanuku. The YSRCP was also critical of the TDP for being indifferent to the plight of the poor.
In retaliation, Minister Nara Lokesh has reacted severely to the allegations. He blamed YSRCP for mischievous propaganda on the canteens and submitted that cleanliness and quality are the prime aspects that are given importance to these canteens. Lokesh condemned the YSRCP’s accusations as nothing but calculated moves to mislead the public.

Speaking in the video, the space, though clearly marked as a hand-wash basin, plates were reportedly separately placed there by YSRCP workers to create the wrong impression, not used to serve food. The leader had the video manipulated to show deliberately that the hygiene was amiss there.
The Minister said the recently introduced Anna Canteens are high on hygiene and serve nutritious food. He asked the people not to believe in the false propaganda of the YSRCP and said that the ruling party is resorting to this gimmick since they cannot tolerate the feats of positive responses the canteens are getting from the people’s ends.
