Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty, who made his acting debut with Mrinal Sens Mrigayaa which was released in 1976, is the recipient of 3 National Film Awards and Padma Bhushan, the 3rd highest civilian award. Mithun Chakraborty will be awarded the Dada Saheb Phalke Award this year. Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnav has shared this information on Twitter i.e. X. Mithun Chakraborty will be given this award during the 70th National Film Awards ceremony.

This award will be given to him at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony on October 8, 2024. Mithun Chakraborty has worked in more than 350 films in his career so far. He has worked in many films in different languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Bhojpuri, Kannada, and Punjabi films.
Mithun has worked in many excellent films and his popular movies are Disco Dancer, Pyaar Jhukta Nahi, Swarg Se Sundar, Hum Paanch, Pyaari Behna, Sahas, Vardaat, Boxer, Prem Pratigya, Mujrim and Agneepath.
