Mithunam movie producer Anand Rao breathed his last on Thursday, leaving his family and friends in grief. The 57-year-old producer was suffering from illness and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Vishakapatnam for the past few days.
Anand Rao hailed from Vavilavalasa village in Vizianagaram district in Andhra Pradesh state. Though he started his life as an entry level employee in private sector, with his hard work and determination rose in life and succeeded as a businessman.
Anand Rao was involved in literature and even wrote poetry in Telugu language. His passion towards artistic pursuits led him to making Mithunam movie.
Mithunam starred late singer SP Balasubramanyam and senior actress Lakshmi in lead roles. This feel good movie depicting the bond between an old age couple became a hit and considered one of the food movies. It was directed by actor writer Thanikella Bharani.
