Protests are going on for women’s safety across the city. People from the society are participating in it. The video of one of these unique protests has attracted a lot of attention on social media. The special thing is that Bengali actress Moksha Sengupta also participated in this protest and was seen doing Tandav in anger.
Mokksha Sengupta performed a powerful Tandava dance on a song by poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and her video is going viral on social media.

A street performance organised by an NGO took place in Santoshpur, South Kolkata, on August 31, where Mokksha Sengupta joined to express her solidarity.
Mokksha Sengupta is a Bengali actress known for her work in South Indian cinema. She started her career in Bengali films before moving to South India. She also works in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema.
After the video went viral, Mokksha interacted with media and said, “When I first heard about the crime, I was in Hyderabad. As soon as I came to know about this gruesome incident that happened in Kolkata, I returned to my city to protest. As an artist, I chose to protest on the street. Through art, I have asked people to think about women’s safety.”
