Firebrand leader MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao is all set to join Congress party. He is serving as BRS MLA from Malkajgiri Assembly constituency right now but resigned to the ruling party due to the differences with party’s top leadership. Mynampally will join in Congress in the presence of Sonia Gandhi in Delhi this week.
Mynampally has a strong hold in and around Malkajgiri and Medchal areas. Along with Mynampally, several BRS corporators and leaders have also resigned for BRS and joining Congress. His shifting of loyalties is expected to harm KCR’s BRS and help Congress.
Besides contesting in Malkajgiri, Mynampally is making moves to ensure his son contests from Medak Assembly constituency. It is said that Congress leadership has assured tickets to both Mynampally and his son.
