Nepal Bus Accident : Indian, which was carrying around 40 passengers, was heading towards Kathmandu from Pokhara. At least 11 people were killed after the bus plunged into the Marsyangdi River in Nepal’s Tanahun district on Friday.
Authorities confirmed the efforts are underway to establish contact with those involved. This follows a deadly landslide in the month of July that swept 2 buses into central Nepal’s Trishuli river, amid heavy rainfall causing landslides and floods.

The bus, bearing number plate UP FT 7623, plunged into Marsyangdi river,” DSP Deepkumar Raya of Tanahun district said. This accident took place at Aaina Pahara in Tanahun district.
UP relief commissioner said that authorities are trying to establish whether anyone from the state was involved in this accident.

Indian passengers were staying at Majheri Resort in Pokhara. The Indian bus left for Kathmandu from Pokhara on Friday morning.
Chief District Officer of Chitwan- Indradev Yadav said that the buses were travelling along the highway when landslide struck, pushing them off the road and into the raging river below.
