Retired IAS officer and former Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has taken charge as the Director General of Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) on Monday. Nimmagadda Ramesh took charge at Bellavista Campus in Somajiguda, Hyderabad.
Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is a 1982 batch IAS officer. He was the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh during the state bifurcation. After that he worked as a special secretary.

His other roles were as commissioner of commercial taxes, agriculture and cooperation, principal secretary, marketing, and housing departments, and as secretary of finance from 2006 to 2009.
He also served as Chief Election Officer of Andhra Pradesh. He also worked as TTD EO. Nimmagadda, who continued to be a member of Aski Court of Governors, recently took charge as the Director General of the same organization. Nimmagadda Ramesh holds a postgraduate degree in economics, a PhD in economics, and a degree in law.
