Numaish 2024 Breaking Records and Fostering Accessibility

This year’s Numaish, held at the Nampally Ground, saw an unprecedented turnout of 25 lakh visitors, marking a new record for the popular exhibition. The event, which typically lasts for 45 days, concluded on Sunday, drawing crowds from across the region.

Originally slated to close on February 15, the exhibition was extended for an additional three days until February 18, following the decision by the All-India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE) Society. According to Satyender Vanam, the vice president of AIIE Society, the decision to extend the event was in response to the overwhelming demand from attendees.

The surge in attendance can be attributed to the wide array of stalls showcasing new and innovative products, attracting visitors eager to explore the latest offerings. Additionally, the introduction of the Maha Lakshmi Scheme, providing free bus services to female visitors, contributed to the increased footfall, making it more accessible for women to attend the exhibition. Overall, the success of this year’s Numaish underscores its enduring popularity and significance as a cultural and commercial hub.
