Odissa train tragedy: Railways failed to deploy Kavach

The Odissa train accident which claimed lives of more than 300 people left the entire nation in shock. More than 1000 people have been seriously injured in the accident where three trains collided. 

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the accident spot, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has been monitoring the rescue operations and inquiring about the accident. Now a shocking fact has surfaced regarding the negligence of Railways. 

The anti-collision technology was not deployed on the rail tracks, where the gruesome accident occurred. Erstwhile UPA government developed train anti-collision technology in 2011-12. After coming into power PM Modi Sarkar has renamed the anti-collision technology as Kavach. But even till now PM Modi government has not taken serious steps to implement this technology on Indian rail tracks.
