Pareshan’ was released in theatres today (June 2). Soon after Thursday’s premiere for the media, the rural comedy entertainer started garnering extreme reviews. One segment praised to it the skies, while another called it crappy.
Even among film critics, there is no consensus. Ram Venkat Srikar described ‘Pareshan’ as a hysterically funny film. He added, “Easily the funniest Telugu film I have seen in a long time. It’s outlandish but also manages to be grounded in its representation of characters, the milieu and conflicts.”
The superlative praise is limited. A few other review writers lauded the movie’s first half but wrote off the second half. The rest have found ‘Pareshan’ intolerable. “The comedy is cringe. It is another mess like ‘Mem Famous’,” is the tone the critics and trolls have adopted.
The film is presented by Rana Daggubati.
