The special thing about this year’s event is the prasadam of turmeric, kumkum, and sarees that are being distributed to the women observing the Vratam. They have been provided by none other than the local MLA and Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, out of his own funds. A total of 12,000 sarees will come into use, to be distributed amongst the devotees at the temple after the end of the Vratam.
Hariprasad also emphasized smooth operations in the event, especially for queue line management and Puja material distribution. The management of the temple has prepared additional space to accommodate the gathering for this year’s Puja, which was lacking a few years earlier. The MLC instructed that prasadam distribution is done smoothly so that every devotee gets it without any problem.
This Vratam would be performed in three batches from morning to noon to have better crowd management and to allow the event to take place very smoothly. The officials were thus exhorted to pay special attention to the needs of all participants so that everybody gets to participate in the rituals and receive the blessings of Goddess Varalakshmi.
